Communication is crucial for the proclamation of the gospel to this perishing world.
There is none better than our Lord Jesus Christ in communication. He gave great lessons in the few years of his direct ministry on earth. His teachings, presented in articulate manner changed the world and his teachings continue to influence the world.
He left us with a mandate to carry on with His work by clearly stating that we should go and teach, preach and baptize. This mandate cannot be executed without effective communication. The Communication Department therefore applies several communicative tools to carry on with the great commission.
While the great commission is to be effected by every member of the church, the communication department works with all administrators and departments in the Seventh-day Adventist Church to promote the gospel commission to bring everyone to salvation.
Christ used all the available means of his time to communicate the much desired truth to bring man to salvation. If he ministered here today, he would certainly use the means available today – Television, radio, social media and publications.
The church therefore uses all the available means of communication to advance Christ’s message.
The vision of the Communication Department is to present a favorable image of the Church, its mission, its life and activities, as well as to assist the Church in being an effective witness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The objective of the Department is to reach society, both within the Church and externally, with an open, responsible, and hope-filled communication program through the effective use of contemporary technologies and methods of communication.
