The Uganda Union Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will on Saturday, 28th February 2026, hold the installation ceremony of its Union President, Pastor Samuel Kajoba, at Najjanankumbi Seventh-day Adventist Church.
This event marks a historic milestone in the life of the Church in Uganda. In nearly 99 years of Seventh-day Adventist presence in the country, this will be only the second formal installation ceremony of a Union President, underscoring its significance not only to the Church but also to the wider national community.
A Deliberate and Timely Occasion
The installation was originally scheduled earlier but was intentionally postponed to allow the nation to focus fully on the recently concluded general elections. As a faith-based institution, the Seventh-day Adventist Church values peaceful civic processes, national stability, and responsible citizenship. Holding the ceremony after the elections reflects the Church’s commitment to order, calm, and continuity in both church leadership and national life.
More Than a Formal Ceremony
An installation ceremony goes beyond tradition and protocol. It is a public affirmation of leadership, accountability, and service. Through this ceremony, the Church formally entrusts Pastor Samuel Kajoba with the responsibility of providing spiritual leadership, administrative oversight, and strategic direction for the work of the Church across Uganda.

The Church is honored that the Guest of Honour for the ceremony is expected to be the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, subject to protocol confirmation.
