On Thursday, June 12, 2026, the Uganda Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists successfully concluded the 2026 LEAD Conference that brought together church leaders from across the Union for a time of spiritual renewal, leadership development, policy orientation, and strategic alignment for mission.

A key highlight of the conference was the presentation of the Union’s major mission agendas and strategies for the 2026–2030 quinquennium, emphasizing Evangelism, Stewardship, and the OneVoice27 initiative. These initiatives are designed to mobilize every member, department, institution, and local church towards a unified mission of disciple-making and gospel proclamation.
In his presentations, Pr. Samuel Kajoba, the Union President, challenged leaders and members to pursue growth in spirituality and knowledge, emphasizing that the Church must remain grounded in Scripture, guided and focused on its mission. He called for Total Member Involvement, where every member becomes an active disciple-maker and witness for Christ.

The Evangelism director, Pr. David Mpande presented the Evangelism Impact 2030 roadmap that will see a spiritually vibrant and mission-focused Church grow through discipleship, church planting, member involvement, and outreach to unreached communities. Leaders were encouraged to establish disciple-making cultures that prioritize personal evangelism, Bible study, small-group ministries, and member participation in disciple-making.
The conference also highlighted OneVoice27, a global evangelistic initiative that seeks to unite the Church in prayer, media evangelism, digital outreach, Bible study, and public proclamation. Leaders were challenged to leverage every available platform—including radio, television, publishing, and social media—to share the gospel and connect people with local churches.
Pr. Musonera Junior Jason emphasized Stewardship as a vital component of mission, encouraging members to faithfully dedicate their time, talents, resources, and influence to God’s work. The Stewardship Director reminded leaders that biblical stewardship is not merely financial faithfulness but a lifestyle of total commitment to Christ and His mission.

As delegates returned to their respective fields and institutions, they carried with them a renewed commitment to spiritual growth, policy compliance, stewardship, evangelism, and collaborative mission. The lead conference reaffirmed the Union’s quinquennial call to be “Grounded in the Bible and Focused on the Mission” as it seeks to advance the gospel throughout Uganda and beyond.
